Jakki Davis, Co-Founder of D-UP, received a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in management for NC A & T. She earned a Masters of Educational Leadership from Strayer University. Jakki has over 30 years of experience in organizational leadership and service. Her favorite quote is: "Be the change you wish to see in the world" (Gandhi).

Corvin Davis, or "Coach", Co-Founder of D-UP, recieved a BA in Communications & Broadcast Poduction from NC A & T. He later earned a Masters of Educational Leadership from Strayer University. Corvin is a member of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity. He has been a coach for over 30 years, currently coaching for Vandalia Christian School.

Raelin has received a BA inpsychology and sociology and a MA in Human Service Counseling. She is an assistant cheer coach at NC A&T. "I enjoy working with children while helping them grow and making a difference in their lives", says Raelin.

Natalie is a life-long High Point native and graduate of HPU with a Bachelors of Arts in Graphic Design. She began her work with D-UP as an AmeriCorps VISTA and has since assumed the role of Executive Director's Assistant. "I am happy to be of service in any way possible to our students, to my community, and to the overall goal of connectivity and betterment", says Natalie.

Rishaunda Ewings Moses earned her BS in Communications from Howard University, with minors in business and Spanish. While working full-time with the child welfare system in Washington, DC, she worked toward a law degree with a Certificate in Law and Public Policy in the evening division of the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. After passing the bar exam, she was licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland. She also holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Alliance University, formerly Nyack College. She is an active member of the Alpha Art Club, a civic organization in High Point. Rishaunda has also served in various ministry roles. She and her Community engagement specialist team will spearhead efforts toward holistic revitalization in the 27260 area code, specifically in the Washington Street community and surrounding neighborhoods

Tabitha Bowden is a creative and community- oriented entrepreneur with a passion for natural healing and holistic living. She's a proud member of the WSCA (assistant secretary) as well as the Property Selection Panel where she works with local leaders to support community growth and engagement. She is truly dedicated to making a positive impact in the community through D-Up and living a life that reflects her values of care, connection and creativity. Tabitha works closely with our Director of Community Engagement and Partnerships as well as our Wellness and Education Director.

Lesley Lara is Happy to be part of the future growth of our students here at D-UP. She has been a part of the team for quite some time with a focus on Life Skills instructing. Now she is glad to dedicate time to our Middle and High School. "We have great plans for our students as they navigate these milestone years", she says. Lesley Lara works closely with our Director of Community Engagement and partnership as well as our middle and high school students.

Ariana is an exemplary educator with demonstrated experience of working in the education management industry. She has received a Bachelor of Arts with a focus in Non-Profit/ Public/ Organizational Management from High Point University. With a background in Early Childhood Education, she is a professional leader here at D-UP.

Nyila Johnson is a recent graduate of High Point University, holding a B.S.B.A. in Entrepreneurship. She is a dedicated leader, demonstrated through her extensive experience in project management, classroom teaching, and event planning. Nyila has a deep commitment to serving young people, reflected in her roles as a Servant Leader Intern at the Children's Defense Fund in Washington, D.C., and Sacramento, CA, where she implemented a reading curriculum and guided scholars. As President of HPU's Volunteer Center, she organized the first annual Community Engagement Festival and led the collection of over 3,700 canned goods for local food pantries. Nyila also contributed to the 2024 IMPACT National Conference Workshops Committee and became an official member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated in March 2024. Her dedication earned her the 2024 High Point University Award for Service and four other university distinctions.”
